The Christmas markets are now well underway, and whilst they are all usually nice, they can be a little “samey”. However, the town of Traben Trabach which straddles both sides of the Mosel offers something completely different by having their markets underground.

Over the weekend of 15th and 16th December 2018 the stunning Reichsburg Castle in Cochem will hold its annual Christmas event. In keeping with the location, this event has a Medieval theme, so expect performers, market stalls offering all manner of traditional gift items as well as food and drink.
