2nd Algedunder Wiesn Oktoberfest

The world famous Oktoberfest in Munich starts soon. However, for many, it is either too far to travel (Munich is several hours away) or just too expensive.

Thankfully, many other German towns also now celebrate this Bavarian beer festival, and on 29th September Sankt Algedund will be hosting their second. Bavarian beer, pretzels, live music, Lederhosen and Dirndls will provide an authentic Bavarian experience in the heart of the Mosel valley.

Entry into the event costs €5 and advance booking is advised. The contact numbers are on the flyer but I am not sure if they speak English, so a good chance to practice your Germany perhaps! Unfortunately other than the flyer, I couldn’t find any other information on the event, presumably because it is still very much in its infancy.

These events are usually great fun and an excellent way of meeting the locals. I have been to a few in the past in various cities and always had a great time. The hangovers last for days though.
