If you are in Trier and enjoy walking and exploring, you might want to check out an organization called Free Walking Tour – Trier.
Conducted by a group of locals, these walking tours offer visitors an informative introduction to this historic city and its surroundings.
Tours are generally held weekly, but please check their website or contact them to confirm when the next one takes place. It is necessary to register, and only once you do so will you receive details of the meeting point. They generally take place at 10 a.m. on Saturdays, but not exclusively, so again please check the website first.
On the website, if you scroll to the bottom of the landing page you will come to two clickable links: “Who we are. What we do. How it works” and “Frequently Asked Questions”. These give you all the information you need on the group, the tours and how to register.
The tours are free of charge as the name suggests. However, please remember that the guides are generously giving up their free time to conduct them so suitable gratuities would be most appreciated.
