If you are a fan of vintage tractors, Kröv, home of the famous “Nacktarsch” (“Naked Arse”) wine, hosts the 16th Kröver Oldtimertreffen this weekend.
Welcoming tractor clubs from afar, the event will see numerous rare and historic machines dating back decades from manufacturers such as Lanz, Kramer, Porsche, Fendt and Eicher-Güldner. Tractors have obviously played an important role in this agricultural region, and it is great that they are being honoured in such a way.
Activities kick off on Friday 17th August at 5 p.m. with live music by the band “Midnight Express”. Highlights on Saturday will be a parade of the machines through the town starting at 5pm after which “Midnight Express” will again entertain you, as will a firework display.
On Sunday, another band, “Duo Diamante” will be performing from 10 a.m. and various other activities take place until 2 p.m. when the “Band Switsch One” will perform bringing the event to a close.
The website for the event can be found here but it is only in Germany so you may need to use Google Translate!
